Tax season is here YEA!!!

I went into the office today to practice on the new software program and they had a walk-in so I took her and did her taxes, 1st one this year. YEA!!!! Good day.

There are some changes this year so watch out if you are doing your own. I will try to answer any questions you may have. This is the year to get new energy saving appliances and things. 2008 year the credit was discontinued, but it should be continued in 2009. Alternative minimum tax has a higher cut off this year then it will next year. Teachers still receive a $250 subtraction for non-refunded purchases this year, but not so far next year but maybe.

You have to have unreimbursed expenses for school and work a minimum of 900 hours during the school year. Up to $250 dollars first page of the 1040 near the bottom. I will have to look up any other requirements.
