Random sayings around the house

Gunnar, "Oh man the bathroom stinks I can't even open the door."

Qatar, "Yeah Gunnar I did that for you, I know how much you like it."

Qatar, at the Nike shop while holding a shoe. "I love shoes." Okay, TMI

"I'm awesome, I'm awesome, I'm awesome." JT Sunday morning getting dressed, he was yelling this. Talking with Zeke later he wanted him to tell him a joke and Zeke refused, JT "You suck. You really really suck." We need to work on that boys vocabulary a bit.

Cenneidigh after being sick and staying home a few hours alone. "Mama, I love being alone." Me, "I do too, to bad it happens so rarely."

Zeke, sick and tired. "My nose stings, my throat hurts." Cough Cough... "What are you doing?"
This was when I was reading the end of a good book and he just kept talking. "Zeke go to bed and you'll feel better." "My nose stings, my throat hurts." Same conversation again and again, get the picture.

Gunnar, "Can I go to Jays?" Me, "Its after 9PM and Church is tomorrow." Gunnar, "So" Me, "Its after nine." Gunnar, "So." Me, "You have to be home by 10:30." Gunnar, "So." Me, "Ask your Dad." The depth of the conversation was amazing, I'm not sure I captured it for you.

The I want to go to school-flu

Zeke started it on Wednesday with vomiting early in the morning. Thursday he jumped out of bed ready to go to school. The school has a 24 hour no vomit rule so he had to wait until noon to go. He was excited to get back and kept telling me he'd been home for over 45 hours without going out and how the whole world looked different.(he is a bit different from the other kids, schools his favorite thing). So back to paradise for him.

JT threw up Friday morning at 2 and at about ten he wanted to go back to school. He hated the idea of being sick on only a half day. He also had a test he needed to take. You need to understand that even only in 3rd grade, JT hates everything about school and here he was begging me to take him back. I really wish Gunnar and Qatar would catch this flu.

David asked me that if Zeke obsession with school was just a virus would I cure it. Hell NO!!!!!! I think we have scholarship hope with that one and since he is so close in age to the next two, it may be the only way we can afford college for the rest of them.

Building a train of people.

Every blanket in the house is being used and the rest of the place looks like a tornado went through. I just love kids and all the kids they seem to bring home from school with them. Our house is full most days and sometimes I wonder if my kids are even among the others scattered around.

The people and blanket train. The kids get bored in the winter.

Bowling fun.

After Christmas we went bowling. Paige had brought us two balls from Craigs list and we had to try them out. JT's new ball says Joel P. SO I colored in the l with a black crayon and now it says Joe P. Pretty cool and it is the perfect size and in almost new condition. I picked up one of the balls and sent it down the lane along with most of one of my fingernails. Ouch!!!!.
We had lots of fun and maybe two people scored over 100 points, the rest of us should stick to Wii or Kinect bowling.

Christmas treat making...

This is what happens when your 10 year old hands you a ziploc bag full of Chex and chocolate mix that she swears she closed correctly. I flipped it over to shake the coating and boom.....it all fell out. My sweats and shirt were covered and the cabinet, counter and floor. What a mess....I shall never believe anyone who hands me a bag and says its closed. I will double check. This is even after we had cleaned a bit up.

JT says the funniest things, but now he's singing everything. Yesterday he was humming and then started singing about what he had for lunch. He laughed and sung about his friends and then sung a real song from the radio. Of course this comes at a cost, I never get any quiet. I try to talk on the phone and he sits besides me and sings. He sings while he plays the piano and if the music is wordless he makes them up, or just repeats the same phrase over and over and over again.
The new insult at our house is to repeat what the person said, so "Your so stupid." "No, your so stupid." Stupid I know. JT likes to change it up so if someone says, "Your so stupid." He yells back, "Your butt is stupid." Or other body parts. Last night I really tried not to dissolve into laughter with the comments flying across the kitchen, but it was impossible. He loves to add obscure body parts like, nipple, pinky toe, liver, elbow, ear, butt, anything that the other kids haven't used to yell about. Verbal sparring, he seems to have a gift, he may be a politician someday.
"Clean your room." "Clean your room." "You're full of crap." "you're full of crap." this goes on all the time, and now I just tell them that if they repeat anything I say, they can kiss any TV, Computer, Internet, Friend time good-bye.

JT

JT was in a play for the day after Thanksgiving, but after I got back from the ER with Qatar last week, David informed me he was kicked out. I try to stay, but couldn't that day. JT told the director he didn't want to be there and his mother forced him into it. The director told him he was out and that I shouldn't have forced him9she didn't like his attitude of not wanting to be there). In my defense, I force him to school everyday, I force him into the shower, I force him to brush is teeth, to get up in the morning, to wear clean clothes and to do his laundry. I believe that force is the only way that JT will do anything at all, except play Xbox and watch TV. He is on a bowling league on Saturdays with a friend, he seems to enjoy that, but that is all he has outside of school and home. He likes to stay home and play on the computer, well he's now grounded from all media, except the written word.

Funny and sweet things my kids say

Cenny and I were looking at before and after shots from P90X and I told her I was scared, would I ever look like those after shots. Cenny looked at me and smiled. "Mom did you exercise today?" Me, "Yes, I did chest and back and Ad Ripper." Cenny with another smile. "Then 90 days is right around the corner." I think she's been watching the DVD's with me and picking up on the motivational speech. She is a fashion plate, isn't she.
JT told me he thinks he going to die his legs hurt so much. I told him that he was just growing, he smiled at that and seemed to find a new lease on life.
I was upset about a problem yesterday and I told Gunnar I was going to pack them up, toss them in the air and then shoot them down and forget it. Gunnar told me, "Whatever Mom, I know you wont. We'll hear about it again in a few days." No I'm really going to try to let it go. I'm going to try, really I will.
JT in the car when we had forgotten something at home. "Are you going to tell Amanda you forgot." Me, "Yeah I don't lie." JT. "That was a lie right there mom." I could strangle him sometimes.
JT again, "Mom will I die in a bicycle thing or will I live to be old?" Me, "Why?" JT, "Just wondering." Me. "You will live to an old age." JT, "OK" and off he went to play with his friends.
I was huffing a puffing after plyometrics and complaining that I was going to die. Gunnar. "Mom maybe this workout is too much for you." Me. "Uh...NONONO! I'm a fit person and I passed the fitness test." Gunnar. "You really past the test." Me. "Yeah...well almost."(I cannot do a pull-up at all on my own.)
