Gunnar is at the Stake President as I type this. I get a bit overwhelmed every so often with the thought of him gone for two years. David brought me home an interesting article about Mormon Missionaries and the success they have in life.

It seems so hard...but the time will fly by and you will thoroughly enjoy the blessings! Also, where would you rather your GREAT kid be at his time of his life?
Just be happy he is going on a mission and not siting at home playing video games in his underwear until 3 am or hanging out with his friends discussing my little pony and have my little pony parties. MY Brother-In-Law (24)
I see such a difference in the Young Men that go on mission and the ones that stay at home. Most of the ones that stay home seem so lost in life. But the ones that go on missions seem to have focus in life.
