Everyone seemed to have a great time at the convention. The boys came back late every night, so I am a bit exhausted. Gunnar of course is tired, but had a really good time with all the activities and fun they had. We ate tacos two days in a row, one day with the kids staying with us and the next day for dinner to celebrate JT's 7Th birthday a week early. Derek in the white t-shirt (photo above.) was one of our guests. Great kids. We only had three boys one guy couldn't come. My kids had a great time teasing and playing with the boys. JT woke them up by jumping on them, the next morning the doors were locked so he just banged on the door screaming.

In my defense part two.

In my defense.
In my defense, the girl in the prom dress has very nice boobs. I am just jealous since mine have gone south along with the rest of my body. Bonnie suggested I buy some, but I don't have the financial purchasing power for that. Getting older has its goods and bads this is one bad. Vanessa told me as we age our boobs with will get smaller and our butts will get bigger. Yuck!!!! Meredith mentioned that breast exams will be easier in the future when they just have to check our ankles.

Funny Quotes
The news is full of witty commnts these days. Art, a wallstreet expert, told GMA this morning that the economy is like living with your mother-in-law. It takes all your freedom away and drives you crazy. He also commented that kicking the economy in the bum like Obama did is like kicking your mother-in-law out of the kitchen and regaining your sanity. I have to start watching more news so I can get my laugh in for the day. Of course I could just be tired, so anything may be funny at 6am.(The views expressed here do not represent the views of this blogger.)

Everything that is wrong with this country and world.
I will agree with this smart women, everything that is wrong with everything can be linked to the Bush Administration. Randy's stolen car, global warming, my cold, the billions and billions of dollars we have all wasted, Parker insane behavior as he jumps at the dust in the air, the shortage of morals in this country and the world, my kids intelligence yet lack of motivation, world poverty, my messy yard as all the snow disappears, bankruptcy in Iceland, my piano needing to be tuned again, and last but not least California being part of this country. I never saw it before, but wow she is so right.
Bush is the problem, not all the other evil forces running the government now.

Sick kids = sick me
I was finally doing well in the health department, after the flu and a few killer colds this winter. Friday I had a class where one little guy looked awful. I sent him to the nurse twice and he came back, so after he fell asleep on his desk snoring I took him to the nurse myself. His mother didn't trust he was sick so she wasn't coming to get him. The nurse called again and informed her that his teacher could not teach with his snoring so she came and got him. Poor little guy he looked so tired and cold, he kept shivering. Now I have his cold, I'm tired and will be snoring once the kids are off to school. One teacher told me that after a few years of this I should be healthy again. I need to build up my immune system to all these new germs. One teacher at the kindergarden center was on antibiotics every seven weeks her first year teaching. Yuck!!!!!!

I'm not made to work full-time, at least not any more.
I use to work full-time and with two kids to boot, but I'm not good at it any more. I worked five days last week as a sub. Three different classes and grades. I'm exhausted and have not changed out of my PJ's all day. I have worked on my book instead, since I didn't have much time to work on it this week. Busy busy busy. I need a few days of rest, a month of Sundays would be nice.

My life is not wasted.
I am definitely not wasting my life.
I worked today in the Autism room at ECFE again and I love that room, those kids are so sweet.
Editing my first book is keeping me busy again. Bonnie gave me the pages she has read so far with her suggestions. I needed a break from it and now I'm enjoying it again. I will be rewriting my second book as soon as I get this one finished.

Complain Complain
I would like to complain. Bacon is good, but too much of a good thing is not good. I've eaten too much bacon in the two years we have tasted bacon and I'm sick of it. Sorry David!!! Two plus weeks in April for bacon and when I taste test I can't sub, more then the morning, so I lose jobs. April and May are my biggest sub months. I worked 20 plus days during those two months last year. Bacon will really be in the way. Darn commitments.
Everyone seems healthy except for my migraine last night that made my eyes look different directions, that was interesting. Focusing was not possible so a few pills and a nap I felt better.
Busy week coming up. Two concerts, David out of town for three days, and the normal things. JT made a comment on Thursday when I told him to put his shoes on for Gunnar's basketball game. He said, "Mom why can't we just stay home for once." My feelings exactly.

What a morning.
Yesterday I needed to go to the store to get some things for David and Qatar. I had been busy with sick people all week and had not been on top of medicine needs and food needs. I picked up some Tylenol, Benedryl, oranges, grapes and other items the sick people wanted now that they felt like eating again. At the grocery pick up the kid loading the groceries mentioned the flat tire I had. Gunnar and I drove a few hundred feet to the gas station for air, but it did not work. I called AAA and they came out and put on the spare tire. He put the tire in the car for us to take to get repaired, but he pointed out the huge hole in the side. I do not think that tire is getting fixed. We got home to pick up the other kids and drop off the things they needed and got to church as the opening song was starting. I was tired and a bit grouchy. I mentioned this to the kids in the car on the way to school and Gunnar mentioned that it had been fun talking in the car and listening to the radio as we waited for the AAA guy. I guess I do need to admit it was really not that bad except it was very cold.
Everyone spoke about being happy in ever circumstance of life and I have to say it was a good morning after all. Qatar is still home sick today.
