Thinking about going back to school

Logo of Augsburg College. This is where I was thinking about going.  They have a campus in Rochester and it would be expensive about 20,000 for the two years and I would end up with a MAE Masters of Art in Education...I think I would do the special ed route, EBD, LD, and DCD.  I'm talking with the head of special ed at the HS today for more info on the different licenses and how each works so I know what I'd be getting into a bit more.  I really enjoy subbing special ed....but I have little or no responsibility subbing except being there and following the teachers notes.

I'll keep you informed of what I find out and by the way I need to take a math test at college level and pass so I don't have to take the class that worries me a bit....but I do sub math classes and have found it to be easier then I remember...math is very logical something I missed when I was younger.

I'm at 29 books read for the year so far.....

I would list them but that would take awhile.  We are taking our read books to work(David that is) and offering them on the board for free.  Lots of interest in the new books.  Many we read are not even available in the store for a month or more.  I've read several great books and few really bad books....that is the problem with reviewing lots of self-published works.  One I did enjoy was Drowned in the GrenadineDrowned in the Grenadine  that is a funny story about an actor trying to make it in Hollywood and discovering what is most important.  We all drown in things that are too good to be true and chase those things until they kill us.  Very true.

Cedardale Court was an interesting mystery self-published.  Cedardale Court   Pretty good, I didn't want to put it down.  For published works I loved Outside the Lines.  Outside the Lines and Downfall Downfall.  Running this blog has given me the chance to really read things I never would otherwise.  My reading speed has increased and my vocabulary.  Its like a part-time job without the benefit of pay....oh well...a fun hobby while it lasts.

Eagle Bluff the first day and a half

Archery was really fun...I even got a bulls eye when we moved back another line.  The teacher in my group shot the column when the kids went to the bathroom and we moved the the far wall to shoot.
Downtime...not very much but they kept themselves busy when they did have downtime.

Ropes course....really high....really scary.....really fun all at the same time.

Happy Valentines Day and I don't know many answers these days.

Happy Valentines Day...I took a big pack of Lofthouse cookies that David bought for me into work this morning to share.  Love to you all ;>)

Tax Questions- I get a many and I have to say I really don't know the answer to most.  I didn't take the update class this year and I forget fast....trust me....crazy fast....I think that irs.gov is your best bet....they have a search area that will give you tons of responses and so just look around for your answer.  I wish I knew more....but oh well I don't.  I've made more money so far this month just subbing then I did last year working the whole month waiting for clients...full-time is good for the wallet bad for the messy house....three days away didn't help ither.  Thanks

Photos of Eagle Bluff soon

Tired and really needing rest and working all week so when I get my second wind I will post our photos.  Lots of fun but getting up at 2 AM to supervise and not getting back to bed until 9 PM that night was hard and wore me out for the weekend.  I did have a missionary experience at 4:15 AM so who knows if any of us remember.  More later.  Love ya

RS lesson Love------February

I wanted a lesson on Love and I was very short on time between knowing I was teaching and teaching.  I also was working whine whine whine....poor me.....so i thought love...its February after all.  So I picked this one.  Well this is a missionary lesson and I'm awful at that....but the lesson went great....I took advice to have the sisters do more talking and discussing.  I handed out questions(some personal asking about their conversion, and their member missionary efforts) and had each sister answer them...we had a great discussion and the lesson went over time.  Several people said it was a wonderful lesson and I can honestly say I didn't talk more then 7 mins....the class ran the lesson....a great spirit and a great lesson.   I will prepare with a discussion in mind the next time I teach.

Zeke

Zeke played the piano at the art show at the mall today.  It was the Ellis art show and he volunteered.  He needs hours for  NJHS each year.  When he was done they handed him an envelope and a thank you.  He received 10 dollar chamber bucks, two 5 dollar card to Family Video and a ticket to the newest children's play at the Paramount.  He was "wow"  I didn't expect anything.  I told him to keep that feeling and just to be grateful every-time he did receive things for volunteer service.
