Food Network Magazine Cookies

Zeke convinced me that I needed to cook up some of the amazing food ideas in this magazine that Bonnie gave us for Christmas.  So we made these Kid Candy Cookies, they had almost 6 cups of candy Gunnar wasn't sure he could fit all the candy in the bowl.  M&M pretzels, choco chips, peanut butter chips, toffee chips and wow they are delicious.  One or two will do it more will make you sick, I'm sick now.

JT created a new drink and a name for it

We went bowling for the work group David works with and they served Famous Daves and then lots of pop.  JT mixed Pepsi with Sierra Mist and named his new creation Pest said more like Pist.  He asked if we wanted to try it and David said no he didn't want top drink his Pist, JT frowned and then said, "I think I will change the name to something else."  Good idea little guy.

Duct tape craze at our house

 

The kids are crazy about this tape and making things with it.  Cenny make flip flops and bows and a tie.  JT made me a wallet and then removed everything from mine and threw the pink leather one I had away.

Walking

David has been walking for weeks now and I go with him almost everyday.  I'm tired and it is early 5AM  yeah and we walk almost 4 miles.  This has taken care of all the wonderful food I had at the conference last week.

Happy Fathers Day

To my Dad for the fun he has with the kids and I can have a needed break.  They always want to spend the night at grandpa and grandma's.

To my husband and the father of our children, I love you and hope to laugh for many more years.

Y cookie cutter

  Gunnar got this cute cookie cutter int the mail with a recipe.  It is an advertisement for the meal plans at BYU, but it is so cute.  I wished we had it before his party.  Amanda made a cute Utah cake and a Minnesota cake with an airplane showing where he was and where he was going, very cute and it tasted good also.

SPAM

Amanda and I are attending a GT symposium here is Austin and for dinner last night was a Spam feast.  Spam enchiladas, lasagna, spanish rice and loads of salad and salsa.  I commented to one of the planners that even if the presenters were awful, which they are not, I would come next year for the fabulous food alone.  They served sandwiches and salads for lunch and a big breakfast to boot.  Very full on good food.

So sick of socks!!

Socks socks everywhere and yet not a single pair to wear....this is what my kids tell me so I spent a few hours pairing up socks and came up with two full laundry baskets.  One basket colored socks and the other white.  Now I need them to all take their socks to their rooms and stop with keeping them in a basket.  You think it would be easy with them doing most of their own laundry.

JT likes to take his socks off wherever he is and toss them.  Socks everywhere.  I love summer...I ban all sock usage for the summer.

Math Camp

Cenny and JT have Math Camp this week and Amanda swears they are going to love it.  Just the name makes me think not....but I will keep an open mind and hope they like it.

Book signing

Amanda, my sister, Cenneidigh and I went out to Adams to meet this author and have a few books signed.  I've only read hers on the Kindle so I picked up one I hadn't read and one I had to giveaway on the Book Him Danno site in the next few weeks.  I love meeting authors in person, but I really have to tone it down so I don't scare them.  Every bit of me just wants to scream 'I love your books' but that would scare them away so I try to keep myself in check.  I did pretty well today, no screaming or gushing, or touching.  I'm getting better.

Waiting on Graduation

Grad party and it was great with all the wonderful help I received.

Family Visits

David's family all came for graduation and we enjoyed a few days together with them.  We had family photos taken and they helped with the grad party.  Thanks guys for coming and adding to his moment.
