Amanda Hocking Celebrate our local celebrity! Tuesday, August 7, 11:30-1:00 Austin Public Library  Brown Bag Luncheon   Celebrate with Amanda as she releases her newest book: Wake    Austin will be the first stop on her book tour!  Trey Mewes from the Austin Daily Herald will moderate a question and answer discussion while we eat our brought-from-home bag lunches, and you will have a chance to have your books autographed. Books will be available for sale.  Sodas and cookies will be provided by the Friends of the Austin Public Library. Funny conversation

Gunnar spends lots of time with his friends this summer and that means spending time with Jay and staying at his house.  Zeke was even hanging out there with his friend Bets there at the same time over the 4th..  Betsy is Jay's younger sister.  Well here it goes.

Jay's dad, Jeff, commented that it was a normal thing to see Gunnar coming down the stairs in the morning.  But  he said, " that if Zeke ever comes down the stairs in the morning...there will be problems"  I think I will have a problem with that also.

Rant here.....I hate commenting on any blog that requires me to put in some stupid code or letter or whatever.  I hate that and that is why I am not commenting on anyone's blog.  Let anyone comment and just moderate the comments.  I cannot tell what those stupid codes are and I hate HATE HATE them.  I will not comment if I have to go through this stupid add on.  Sorry I start a comment and then quit when I have to put this thing in.....

Flu and heat

Gunnar had been sick and Qatar has been tired/now sick.  Both were asleep fighting the heat when I got of work yesterday.  Now Cenny has it...it comes with an extra dose of grumpy.......trust me not a fun place to be right now.

4th of July Fun Happy Birthday Cenneidigh

I went out with the missionaries yesterday

 I went with the missionaries to visit a family down the street.  They welcomed us in and then told us how busy(preparing a birthday party for their 1 year old...a very important birthday-once a child makes it to one their chance of growing up sky rockets.) they were and only had time for a prayer.  The man of the house asked me to pray.  I prayed for the family and the visitors coming to the birthday party and for the spirit.  When I was finished the mother told me what a great job I did with the prayer.  I have never been complimented on my prayers and well now that I think about it maybe that should happen more often.  It was a nice way to end a busy day.
